Backstory: I’ve had a really hard time sleeping since we moved (which has never been a problem, I’m totally the type of person if I lay down for 2 minutes I’m out.) Its been rough to say the least! I think a lot of it is that I wake up and don’t feel my normal sleep orientation.
Last night we repositioned our bed so that it was the same direction that it was in the old house. I was finally able to sleep a little but I had the craziest dream! Want to help me analyze it? The most requested tutorial from Aspyn’s overhaul is hands down the oversized pegboard wall treatment. It just so happens to be one of my favorite as well! High fives all around!! Here’s what you need to know. This project will look good absolutely anywhere and is just as functional as it is beautiful. Because the pegs are interchangeable you can mix, match, and customize to your hearts content, its the decor equivalent of the 80’s staple Units! We survived the move! Its a little overwhelming to move, travel, celebrate 2 birthdays and stay on top of life. Do you know what sounds so great right now? Not overwhelmed, not underwhelmed, just whelmed. Are you ready to start checking off all of the projects from Aspyn’s house?Things are hitting a fever pitch around here!! We are closing on our house tomorrow!
I am having a whole bunch of mixed emotions about it. This is the first time I’ve really moved. My parents have lived in the same house since before I was born. Granted I moved off to college, and we moved out of our crappy apartment into our house, but this, this is different. We are leaving our home, and it feels strange. I mean when does it really sink in? When you leave for the very last time? When there is nothing left inside? I need to know when all of the emotions are going to hit me. The first stop on our journey with an unclear destination is my inlaw’s basement. I’m totally a “lets all live in a compound and have a community garden” type person and so I’m feeling very excited about this. Their house has a whole basement that is in dire need of an overhaul, so we’ll be working on that and turning it into a basement apartment fit for a king. As I’m sitting here on my couch (the only piece of furniture left in our house besides the beds) and look around at this place, I just feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
