decorating room ideas tumblr

Today I am sharing some pics from my mini summer room makeover. One of my favorite ways to change things up a little in my life is to switch out some of my home decor. Majority of things in my room are from Urban Outfitters so I picked a few new pieces to brighten up my room for summer! Also my room is really girly and people always ask how Parker is okay living in such a girly room but I feel like it’s so common for the wife to just take over with the decorating and the husband to be okay with it ha! He has his office and the garage which he has made his own so he doesn’t mind that I have taken over the rest of the house ;) Also as you can see the blog got another little makeover! I love it except for some reason my posts aren’t showing up on their pages like the Fashion page is empty even though I have a bunch of posts tagged in the fashion category! If anyone knows how to fix that let me know! Rose Duvet Cover | Rose Pillow Cases | First things first, I GOT A NEW DUVET COVER!

I have been eyeing this one for while now but couldn’t ever decide what color to get since they have multiple options. The duvet cover I had on before this one was a cream color and I like to stick with neutrals for major pieces like this but I decided to get the rose color and I LOVE IT! It’s still not any crazy color but it is different! And it’s so soft which is important for me since comfort is at the top of my priority list so I am so glad I got this duvet cover and the matching pillow cases. Good Vibes Pillow | Printed Body Pillow | I also got a couple new throw pillows… If you know me or have ever been to my house you know that I do not need any more of these ha! I have SO many. I like to have different color choices to switch up the background of my videos or even for pictures but wow I really have way too many pillows. I love this printed body pillow and also have wanted the Good Vibes pillow for so long so I am happy to have added it to my collection! As for the lights on my headboard, they have been there for a while but I wanted to mention them because they are one of my favorite parts of my room and I always get asked where they are from so here is the link!

I ordered a clothing rack for my room and IT’S SO CUTE! I don’t have enough clothes of the same color scheme to fill up the whole thing yet but I have been dreaming about hanging my hats on the ends which is so weird but I was just really excited to get this clothing rack in the mail haha. I put this little white cube next to it and I think the whole setup is so cute! This week on my channel I decided to do a DIY Room Decor video! I showed some clips of my new decor and also made 3 easy DIY’s. I did a cute yarn wall hanging thing and I also used this printer from Urban to print out some photos for my second DIY! This printer is amazing and so convenient! I printed out my photos and then literally just taped them to a stick that Parker found for me haha. For the last DIY I wanted to make some easy jewelry trays for my nightstand and those turned out decent but definitely could have been cuter if I had any artistic talent at all… Also a couple new fashion pieces are in this post as well!

I got a yellow dress, a purple dress (both of them have the cutest prints) and also this bodysuit which I love so much! I have been doing a lot of hauls on my YouTube channels showing you guys thing that are cute to wear so make sure you are caught up on those!

what type of paint to use on an exterior steel door Hello, I have really severe anxiety and depression and mood swings, and this blog calms me down so much.
vintage wedding decor tumblrWhenever I see it on my dash it's like a breath of fresh air, like one of those posts telling you to relax your shoulders but that actually works. I just wanted to say thank you because, as unintended as it may be, you are so good for my mental health.

Everything is so beautiful and peaceful and it's my happy safe space. Thank you so much.I’m só glad that my blog helps you with your anxiety and depression. I hope my blog will always stay your happy safe space and I wish you all the best in dealing with your anxiety/depression. See, that’s what the app is perfect for.1. Cover your wall in pretty photos and fairy lightsPhotos aren't just for Instagram you know. Print yours out and cover your wall in them to display your fave memories. It'll stop you feeling as homesick AND make you look way popular to your new uni mates. 2. Add a pop of colour with a printed tapestryWhilst most landlords aren't wildly keen to let their student tenants run riot with Dulux in their property (SO rude), there are other ways to add colour. Simply hanging a bright tapestry adds an instant pop, and it's far less faffy than painting.

3. Utilise that black and white printerThere is a benefit to being too skint to afford colour print cartridges, y'know. You can print out cool images and quotes from your favourite Tumblrs and make a cool monochrome collage! 4. Get creative with the fairy lightsAs you're probably guessing, fairy lights are an absolute must in any student's interior arsenal. Put a quirky spin on yours by hanging your favourite snaps from the lead of the lights with pegs. Focus on just one corner for extra minimalist chic-points. 5. Get EVEN MORE creative with the fairy lightsIf subtlety ain't your bag, just go the whole hog and cover your whole wall in your fairy lights 'n' photos combo. Plus you'll need a use for the pegs your mum gave you since washing your clothes will probably be a rarity. 6. Invest in washi tape and get artyHere's another way to add some colour to your room without pissing your landlord off. Washi tape is thin paper tape that comes in zillions of gorgeous colours and prints.

Create pretty diamonds on your wall, like below, OR, for the drunk option, use it to spell out rude words. 7. Pile up the cushions for chaise lounge vibesWhen you're not dozing, make your bed look extra inviting by piling up the cushions. By making your bed less er, bed-like and more loungeable, your room will become the chilling out hub of the house. Perfect for late night gossip sessions. 8. Create an arty heart of photographsTurn your cherished memories (read: drunk selfies) into pretty wall art by fashioning the into a pretty heart. Add some random pretty photos from your Pinterest to get a colour theme going. 9. Invest in some graphic cushions and fabricsClashy printed textiles will add some character to your bedroom, and you can even get your blah-looking desk chair in on the action with some clever fabric usage. 10. Make your desk space a creative hubYou're probably going to be spending a lot of time at your desk (at least from second year onwards), so you'd better try and like it.

What better way than by sticking sketches and inspirational images on the wall? UHU do a great white tack that won't leave stains. 11. Create a statement frame wallCreating a pretty frame wall of your favourite photos, quotes or patterns is a surefire way to make your room the coolest on campus. Just make sure you fill the wall holes before you leave if you want your deposit back (here's a hack to help you out!) 12. Create a frame wall without the framesIf you're really worried about that deposit (or are just crap with a hammer), you can go for the more easy, fun and temporary framing option - washi tape! Make cool shapes and mix 'n' match prints for a seriously cool way to display your pictures. 13. Get your collage onGet the Pritt Stick out and make some elegantly disheveled collages for your wall. Intersperse with some cool quote wall-hangings and fairy lights, and you've got a full house in awesome student bedroom bingo. 14. Get a colour scheme goingYou don't need paint, carpet or curtains to create a colour scheme.
