It's been awhile since the hubby has brought me fresh flowers (ahem), but I may have to buy some for myself just for this adorable candy cane vase. I actually have a set of vintage Christmas bulbs that I snagged from my grandmother's estate. I think these bulb balls would be a great way to display them. This magnet craft is one of my favorites to do with kids. It's simple, inexpensive, and turns out cute no matter what, even from the youngest children. A vase full of water, cheap Christmas ornaments, and a package of floating candles are all you need for a fabulous centerpiece. I would have never thought to frame ornaments, but what a fun way to showcase a few favorites! Spray paint an old frame, and use festive ribbon to hang a couple ornaments for display. I've seen glass hurricanes before, and they are gorgeous — and expensive! Making your own out of a few dollar items? I can't even begin to count the number of glass jars we recycle each month — salsa & applesauce are staples in this house.

Pinecones are a simple, frugal way to decorate for the holidays, but these painted pinecones add a fun flair for the season. I've never had a holiday plate stand before, because I'm just not willing to invest in something I'll use so rarely. But, for $3 in dollar store supplies? I think I'll be displaying my holiday cookies & candy with a little more style this year. I'm amazed at all the ways you can dress up a candle display. This quick craft uses scrapbook paper, but you could glue ribbons around the candles, too. All you need for a beautiful snowflake wreath is a package of snowflakes and a hot glue gun. I'm sure I could make this sock wreath from the many single holiday socks lying around, but they also sell them at the dollar store. Fabric scraps + light string = twinkle garland.
