christmas table decorations ideas pinterest

It’s funny how holidays can evoke a certain mood from year to year. Last Christmas, I was in the mood for sophisticated, wintery glamour with a frosty, table of white, burgundy and gold. I’m all about joy in the form of color with this Christmas tabletop inspiration we created around these adorable bottle-brush trees in shades of pink, aqua and teal… Even the soufflés we whipped up went with the theme – a dusting of ‘snow’ and a pink raspberry topped those dishes just right… Our wreath made from honeycomb balls added a simple, fun touch to the wall, while personalized nutcrackers (that we DIY’d!) greet their guests and watch over their gifts… I loved how the color popped in our all-white studio, bringing a fresh and festive style to the space… And, of course, a table like this requires a little pop of color from the hostess herself… Not to mention tidings of comfort and joy on napkins! ’tis definitely the season for indulging guests with a setting that evokes childish delight and just the perfect amount of whimsy to bring a little holiday cheer.

This year they have some absolutely gorgeous Christmas decorations and so whilst I was browsing I thought it might be a good idea to put together a Christmas table décor post for anyone who has left things till the last minute, like me! The good news is they are still delivering before Christmas as long as you order before midday on Thursday. Wooden star table scatters – £6.18 – These little star table scatters are perfect for adding a subtle Christmas touch to your table. I think they could work just as well at other times of the year too. Twinkling wax tree – £11.38 – I think a candle at the Christmas dinner table is essential and this one is safe for those of us with children as it is flame effect, so doesn’t have a real flame.
Star napkins – £3.58 – These would work perfectly with a natural colour scheme/star theme along with the wooden star table scatters mentioned above and maybe some silver and white candles. Star napkin rings – £6.18 – This set of four star napkin rings would fit well with most table décor themes. I love the copper against the grey stone stars, and again these would work well at other times of year too. Dipped copper bowl – £26 – Personally I would use this all year round as I love copper but it would work especially well at Christmas. I love the idea of filling it with baubles as a centre piece for the Christmas table. Copper baubles – £6.83 – Carrying on from the above idea, I think these copper baubles along with some silver and white ones would look gorgeous together in the copper bowl. Decorative snow – £3.25 – This bumper bag of fake snow could be used for lots of things at Christmas time but I think sprinkling some across the table would add a really nice touch and of course the kids would love it!
Star tea light holders – £14.30 – These come as a set of nine so plenty enough to have one at each place setting around the table.
